It has already been a month since the new semester started. Kingos may be coming under the strain of midterms and assignments this month. Your hands are holding the pen, but where is it ultimately headed? In the short term, it is probably heading toward your paper’s final question or a report’s last sentence. But what about then? What will you thrive on after all the exams are over?
The Sungkyun Times (SKT) hopes you will not be swept away by short-term worries and be trapped within the framework of school assignments. Many real-life problems enwrap youths in fear and make them lose themselves. Therefore, we tend to push ourselves to be busier in an already hectic life. However, haven’t you ever felt unsure of what to talk about while writing desperately to keep up with the deadlines? Sometimes typing out a single sentence is difficult because you do not understand what you are talking about either! It is a contradiction; you held your pen to calm your uneasiness, but every unclear page of your writing starts to creep you out with anxiety.
In times like this, it would be great to pause and take a moment to breathe. Stop your hands for a second and listen to your inner voice. What do you want, and what would you fill your pages with? This month, the SKT presents several issues from which you can think more deeply about yourself: your grand challenges, your passions, your home, your romance, and even a place that can embrace your anxieties. We hope the following pages of our paper will help you write down your next journey.
