Kingos, how are you getting along these days? Many of you will be lying in sweet repose after enduring a long, exhausting midterm. While you were given time to catch your breath, I believe many of you may suffer anxiety during the break. Perhaps, this is because as beginners taking the first step into society, we feel the urge to endlessly challenge ourselves rather than enjoy the break.
However, be comfortable with leaving a blank in your life. We do not need to be restrained by any prejudice or pressure, especially in our youth — it is the only time when we can be fully focused on ourselves. If an unprecedented break has visited you, greet it with joy. You may try everything during your break, but simply letting the blank take place and spending the time only for yourself is still completely fine!
Looking back, the Sungkyun Times (SKT) has continued to walk a long road without a pause. We have been trying hard to deliver the latest issues with a keen sight; feature articles such as Sink or Swim, Fukushima Wastewater Release, and Superconductors, the Unobtainium? prove our passion. Moreover, we have written various in-depth articles regarding SKKU and society. In fact, the September and October issues seem to be densely filled without any blanks.
As the editor-in-chief, I decided to make some changes in this month’s issue. Although the articles in this issue deal with interesting, extensive topics more than ever, I assure you that they are not challenging to read. For the readers who have sought blanks amid articles, I can recommend the new magazine without missing a beat. Therefore, I would like to envelope this letter as an invitation to our brand new November issue:Seeking Solace through Music.
