The year has almost passed by. As time ticks down, we are left with a moment for reminiscing. Some would have adored every second of their one-year journey, but others might have struggled to deal with issues in their lives. Although I am uncertain what time has left for each of you, I genuinely wish all the Kingos to have a meaningful end to 2023.
Writing this letter, I also betook myself to linking and looking back on my year with the Sungkyun Times (SKT). My time in the SKT was both cherishing and challenging. Making the four magazines with my beloved reporters has remained an irreplaceable memory. On the other hand, I faced tough times finding myself amid chaotic circumstances and coping with unexpected events. To be frank, the reality did not quite align with my ideal. Communicating with many others, and being in charge of every process of editing — none of them were easy to handle, and it left me feeling skeptical of my decisions.
However, one thing is for sure: the best decision I made at university was to be part of the SKT. During the past two years in this association, I met many respectable people and gained precious relationships with them. The opportunity to write my article with marvelous designs was also endearing. Above all, all of the work and decisions I made as the editor-in-chief will remain unforgettable for the rest of my life.
Kingos and my dear reporters, this letter is my last piece as a reporter. Concluding the last letter, I would like to convey my infinite appreciation to all the readers and writers of the SKT. I hope our time has delivered the sincere voice of truth to you, thereby making your Times much more valuable.
