On August 13th, a databased service for a future path called “Subject Recommendation for Desired Field of Employment” was launched to support student success. The system recommends courses of each major and liberal arts/elective subjects, and the recommendation is based on graduates who are working in the fields that students desire. To use this service, students should access Challenge Square on the Kingo Portal and click the Student Success Dashboard on the top. When students select a preferred employment institution and a subject classification, they can check the course recommendations from the 1st to 5th. Even if there are two preferred employment institutions, students can compare them easily since respective recommendations are shown at the same time. 6,162 employment outcomes of graduates who are confirmed to be employed among SKKU graduates, and 333,336 courses registration data in the last three years, were used for analyzing the data. Shin Dongryeol, the President of Sungkyunkwan University, said that “The system can help students organize their future plans. Also, by providing an e-portfolio, we will support students in effectively mapping out their college life and successfully preparing for life after graduation.”
