After the test operation last semester, Sungkyunkwan University (SKKU) will operate global lectures and innovation lectures from 2022. Global lectures and innovation lectures are new education models for future colleges that SKKU suggested for the rapidly changing environment due to student reduction and technological innovation. In global lectures, students study in advance with a high level of global education content that prestigious foreign universities provide online, and professors answer students’ questions and explain the content in detail offline. Innovation lectures consist of flipped learning, problem-solving, and specialized innovation. Professors can start the lecture by breaking out of the existing method and by using new creative ways. Last semester, the satisfaction level of students who took global lectures and innovation lectures turned out to be very high. Since there was enough time to ask questions, students did not need to ask their peers even if they had something they did not understand. Students also said that their academic motivation and English skills improved thanks to those lectures. The satisfaction level of professors was also high. They could do in-depth lectures as students learned basic concepts and important theories before and actively engaged in discussions.
