Since 2018, the phrase “small but certain happiness” has become extremely popular. “Small but certain happiness” means trying to find happiness in one’s everyday life. A cup of coffee in the morning or being able to sit in the subway on the way home are all examples of “small but certain happiness.”
Even in 2022, people are still influenced by “small but certain” happy moments around them. In April, Think with Google, in which Google provides various insights related to marketing and consumers, wrote a newsletter about the trends that brands should check out for 2022. Among the five trend keywords, “The Era of the Fascinated,” “Simfullness (Simple+Fullness),” and “Value the Value” caught my eye. With these points, the Sunkyun Times (SKT) decided to redefine the meaning of “small but certain happiness” as a “simple but fascinating value.” Based on this new definition, the SKT has suggested different ways to find happiness in this October issue. The National Feature and Culture Feature articles introduce Kingos to new and fascinating subjects, namely political fandoms and Korean classical music. Also, through the Review article, you can explore the essence of the film Decision to Leave. The SKKU People section also captured the process of delivering the meaning of life through simple objects: accessories.
If you feel as if your daily life is rather dull, how about turning to the next page of this magazine? I am absolutely certain this month’s issue will become your “small but certain happiness” today.
