On September 12th, the 50th student council, “S:with,” officially launched the new website “SKKU:ter” for Kingos after some had already tried the beta version for a week. The name of the website, SKKU:ter, got 39.7% of the vote in a recent poll that was taken from August 23rd to 25th out of five suggested names. Before SKKU:ter was launched, Kingos were using an application called “Everytime” for their own community since there was no community platform specialized for them. For this reason, S:with made a pledge that it would work on developing an anonymous community just for Kingos. Indeed, ever since it started serving its term, S:with has been working with a development team consisting of founding members of a student programming club called “Like Lion.” SKKU:ter consists of six main categories: communities, a board for undergraduate students, information, a board for information about getting a job, a board for alumni, and a board for information about student councils at SKKU. Since it has been officially launched, around 3,000 Kingos have signed up, and more Kingos are expected to join. Only those who are verified to be members of SKKU can join the website, and as a solution to concerns about who actually manages the website, a community management committee has been established to manage SKKU:ter continuously and independently.
