December is the month of Christmas. Many countries have their own unique ways of enjoying Christmas, but it is certain that millions of people around the world have a great time with people that they love at Christmas time. In particular, some of them hold a Christmas party for this. Therefore, the Sungkyun Times (SKT) asked Kingos about who they would like to invite to their Christmas party.
Lee So-yoon (Freshman, Humanities Science)
Professor Dumbledore from the Harry Potter series would be the guest of my Christmas party! He is a true mentor for Harry Potter, and I have always hoped that I could meet a person like him. Therefore, after getting some advice from Professor Dumbledore, I would like to close the year with a magical experience; at the party, I would make some Korean food and he would prepare food from his magical world. Also, I wish I could learn magic from him with my own magic staff. It might be the greatest Christmas of my life. See you at Christmas, Professor Dumbledore!
Bae Min-ju (Sophomore, Business Administration)
I would like to enjoy my party with people living in the Southern Hemisphere. Since they always have Christmas in the summer season, I want to show them the unique atmosphere of Christmas in the winter season. I think the snowy regions in Gangwon-do would be a great place to hold the party for them. Also, I would visit their countries in the Southern Hemisphere and experience Christmas in the summer.
Jang Gwang-hyeon (Junior, Economics)
It would be nice if my favorite comedian Kim Suk could come to my Christmas party. Since she loves games, I want to play some board games and computer games with her. Also, we could hold the “Sukchelin Guide,” her parody of the Michelin Guide. Following the Sukchelin Guide, we would visit great restaurants which are hidden around my rented apartment. It is always fun to spend time eating delicious food with people whom I like.
Kim Su-jin (Junior, Global Leader)
I want to invite some homeless people to my Christmas party. When I walk along the street
and see them, I often feel sympathy for them. Christmas is a time when people share their love with others, so it would be great for me to give some homeless people a warm meal and have a chat with them. I think the party would be a chance for them to overcome this cold winter with love. Even if just one person came to my party, this Christmas would be a meaningful day for me.
Lee Jean-sam (Junior, Business Administration)
I would invite a fortune teller to my Christmas party. It might be a unique memory if people at the party could learn not only about each other’s futures but also about their fortune, careers, how much money they would earn, and their love. Through this, I think people at my party would have time to plan for the next year.
Chae Jeong-woo (Freshman, Electronic and Electrical Engineering)
When asked to share my opinion on this question, I could not help but think about my first love. It may be a wish of most people to meet their first love again. I spent several Christmas days with my first love in the past, but both of us have changed a lot since then. If I could meet my first love again, I would like to have dinner, have a chat, and walk together. Merry Christmas!
Kim Eui-jeong (Freshman, Business Administration)
I would like to invite my late grandfathers. Having a great dinner and talking with them in a cozy mood, I want to ask them if they are doing fine. Also, I would let them meet my parents to share stories with each other.
Kim Ha-eun (Junior, Business Administration)
In fact, Christmas is the birthday of Jesus, so I would like to invite him to my Christmas party. If he came to the party as my guest, he would receive far greater attention than Santa Claus or Rudolph from other people in the party. Then I would celebrate his birthday at the party and give him some birthday presents.
Lee Shi-hoo (Freshman, Humanities Science)
I want to invite Mr. Grinch to my Christmas party! I would like to ask him how he stole Christmas and find out if he really is as much of a monster as people say. I would also like to smell him and see if he actually stinks!
Park Ji-na (Freshman, Nature Science)
I would like to invite some fashion designers. I would ask them to bring clothes which were designed based on an image they had of Christmas. Clothes are means of expressing many things and can be interpreted in various ways depending on each individual’s perspective. So, it may be interesting for me to have some conversations with the designers about clothes.
