The Student Success Center opened its doors on the Humanities and Social Sciences Campus on March 11st. It has been established to offer Kingos various education and support programs for their success. Students who made a reservation are able to receive counseling. There are a total of three counselors in the center, two senior researchers at the doctoral level and one master-level researcher. All of the counselors have years of counseling experiences from many universities, including SKKU. Any undergraduate or graduate students of SKKU who have concerns can go to the center to get counseling. Kinogs can get counseling and support in various areas such as extracurricular programs, careers, employment, start-ups, double majors, and scholarships as well as emotional support. Also, if a student wants more detailed information, the center connects the student with the relevant department at SKKU. It is the first Student Success Center in Korea which informs about the many curricular and extracurricular activities to undergraduates and graduates. Also, by collecting data from a number of counselings, the center will work on the integrated management of students. An official opening ceremony was held on March 21st, and many special lectures and international forums regarding Kingos’ success took place.
The center is located on the first floor of the International Hall on the Humanities and Social Sciences Campus, and opens from 10AM to 11AM, and from 1PM to 5PM. The counseling is available from 10:00 to 14:30. If Kingos want to get counseling at the Student Success Center, they are recommended to make a reservation via phone call or internet reservation website for in-depth support. Also, counseling through SNS will be available soon. Another Student Success Center is expected to open at the Natural Sciences Campus in July this year.
