The 51st student council, Sparkle, arranged for an inspection of hidden cameras in the toilets of the stores near the Humanities and Social Sciences Campus area for the first time. It was one of the pledges of Sparkle, so-called SKKUrity. SKKUrity is a compound word of ‘SKKU’ and ‘security.’ Nowadays, Korean society is under a pervading mood of fear that there might be hidden cameras which take one’s picture in bathrooms. Due to this fear, many students avoid using bathrooms outside of their homes. Sparkle of the Humanities and Social Sciences Campus promises elimination of those hidden cameras near the campus. After Sparkle was elected as the 51st student council of SKKU, it conducted thorough inspections and attached stickers after checking that there were no cameras. A total number of 40 stickers made by the student council were attached around the campus. Sparkle will keep making regular checks for those bathrooms in the future, as well. So, Kingos can be relieved and use the bathroom safely, without fear of the existence of hidden cameras. The bathrooms on the campus had periodic checkups, as well. In the case of the Natural Sciences Campus, the student council had already made contract with an outside company. After checking the number of bathrooms near the campus, the student council of the Natural Sciences Campus will start inspection of the hidden cameras. Sparkle announced that it will do its best for the safety of Kingos.
