The women’s lounge, Yeoggeum, at Dasan Hall of Economics on the Humanities and Social sciences Campus has disappeared after 14 years of its use and has been renamed as the Humanities Zone in the same place. This lounge had not only provided a room for resting but also conducted a book rental business and an evening seminar room rental business. The reason for transforming the area is this: in October last year, the women's student council was abolished as a result of a student vote at the Humanities and Social Sciences campus, and in April this year, the women's student council of the College of Liberal Arts failed to get approval again as an official body. As a result, the ownership of the area that had been managed by the women's student council of the Liberal Arts College was transferred to the student council of the Liberal Arts College. The student support team asked the student council to reform the space, and if not, they will manage the women’s lounge, according to the school rules. Therefore, the student council of the Liberal Arts College decided to reform the space because it might be difficult to use the place as their autonomous space unless the area is transformed. The student council of the Liberal Arts College announced its plan to reform the space into a Humanities Zone where students of the Liberal Art College can freely visit. In this area, students can use a multi-tap, table, and air bed to study and relax. A room rental business is also conducted on weekday evenings. This zone is available from the second semester.
