ExCampus is a project prepared by Sungkyunkwan University (SKKU), which means Extended Campus. SKKU uploaded a total of 11 lectures on Youtube in regards to the topic of humanities, technology, and future. The lecture was prepared by 11 different professors of SKKU. They have also announced that for the second season, they will also be inviting professors from different schools, and that additionally, for the third season, which will be held in early 2021, they will be inviting foreign professors.
The reason behind the creation of ExCampus is to extend the learning boundary of the students. This will help students participate in both campus academicia and social activities at the same time. Shin Dong-ryul, the president of SKKU, has stated, “Sungkyunkwan University’s vision regarding the future of universities is to provide a knowledge-sharing platform where anyone can participate in learning anytime.”
