Navigating Admission and Career Paths for International Students
On March 14th, the Sungkyunkwan University (SKKU) Office of International Student Services organized the Admission and Career Information Session for International Students. The event was held on the second basement floor of the International Hall for three hours, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., and the registration for the program was taken through Google Forms. It was conducted both in-person and online through the OLLE EDU social media page, with the goal of attracting more students. Different programs were available based on the participants’ desired graduate school and their current level of Korean language proficiency. The sessions were mainly divided into admission and career information. The admission information section introduced SKKU’s admission procedures, undergraduate and graduate programs, evaluation criteria, scholarships, and career opportunities after graduation. Thet Yadanar Khin, a master’s student majoring in Korean Language and Literature, was one of the presenters at the event, sharing his experience at SKKU. Meanwhile, the career information portion provided advice and helpful resources for employment and entrepreneurship in Korea, as well as direct consultations with companies that employ international students. Lotte Innovate and Jeonbuk Bank, both partners of the program, also held job fairs to provide working opportunities for foreign Kingos.
