KINGO-M, Reborn for Students

Sungkyunkwan University (SKKU) has officially launched an upgraded version of its mobile student platform, KINGO-M, shaped by student feedback. In March, the 57^th student council S:CATCH conducted a design survey to gather insights from users. Based on the results, the university’s Information Technology Services Team collaborated with S:CATCH through continuous discussions and development efforts, leading to the release of the new KINGO-M on July 29^th. The most noticeable change is the redesigned interface. Key features — such as the dashboard, login page, and mobile student identification (ID) — have been updated to provide a more intuitive and modern user experience. Students can now choose from three visual themes — pastel, solid, and dark mode — according to their personal preferences. A new bottom navigation bar has also been added to improve access to frequently used tools. In addition, students can now view essential information — such as library loan and overdue records, weekly timetables, and dining menus — directly from the home screen. The interface is also customizable, allowing users to arrange menu items according to their needs. Moreover, overall app speed and performance have been enhanced. Login and loading times have been reduced, and the integration with the SECOM security access system now allows for faster and more accurate identity verification. Altogether, the revamped KINGO-M is expected to provide a more convenient student-centered digital experience for the SKKU community.
